Forgive my ignorance people. I have just completed multiple beats on my MPC and need to submit them to an artist via MP3 file. How do I get my beats into a MP3 format and how do you email a MP3 file?

I know this is supposed to be fairly basic but I have never emailed my beats before. Thanks

the most qualified person to answer this, but this is what I do...

connect the MPC outs to the in on my mac,
open a sound editor program (usually Peak) and hit record
play a few sequences of the beat
hit stop and do a lil' trimming of the wave
save as aiff file
drag the file into itunes
'right-click' and convert to mp3.
voila.

at that point, you can drag the mp3 to your desktop (or whatever location you choose), and attach it in your e-mail

i downloaded it from www.download.com

and to send files, use www.yousendit.com

soundforge does it perfectly, in my opinion.

Quick question Lamp, does converting to a higher rate like you said effect the song anyway? Could it possibly "thin" the sound, or make it more transparent?
