Getting a good signal while recording.

After I record a sample, while in TRIM MODE, I never see the waveform of the sample. I know I could just normalize it, but I want to know how I can get a good signal before I sample something.

Please help, I'm using the 1K.

use some sort of pre-amp. or a/d converter to beef up your signal before it hits the mpc.

This may be studpid...but make sure all your wires are connected correctly...I had this same problem only to find out that I had my wires going into the line jack rather than the phono jack. Then again I'm a dum ass...are you?

turn your mixer down low and the rec input knob all the way up......this should make it nice, loud, and clean too

Honestly, Beat Conductor, most of the questions you ask could be answered yourself if you just used common sense.

If you are recording a sample, whether it is from a record or from your computer (hint hint) and the sample is recording too quietly into your MPC (hint hint), then perhaps you should turn up the source (turntable or computer) so that it will record a LOUDER sample.

I dunno, just a thought.
