My mpc has digital in/out and i have a minidisc with digital in/out but when i try to resample for example to bounce down effects because you only have effects 1, 2 and reverb 1, 2. if i want each sound to have a different effect settings you get the picture.
Problem im having is i recorded analog originaly so there is exactly one pixel before the sample peaks out in the trim screen right, when i sample to the minidisc with or without effects its either way too quiet or peaking way over and distoring the sound. the minidisc does not allow you to adjust digital input recording. On the output of the mixer in the mpc setup you have 0, +6, +12. 0 is too quiet +6 is peaking and distorting and +12 is peaking and distorting hardcore.
Why the "f" if i leave the decible on 0 on the mpc sample to minidisc then digital back to the mpc is it not exactly how it was before with a one pixel gap before it peaks in the trim screen even if i dont apply effects. effects make it sound louder in the mpc.
im try to make this thing my "timemachine style" and to pull it off i have to go back and forth at least 4 times if i do it analouge i will loose frequencies/quality. eachtime it either builds quieter or louder.
do i have to record quieter then boost up to +12 decibles, what im doing is already very time conusming as it is i have to use a converter from coax to optical replugging 2 cables everytime plus switch the selector coax>optical or optical>coax
any solution or knowledge on this????
