Ive been using sound forge and cakewalk with various effects plug ins (Sonitus, Lexicon Pantheon, etc). The Sonitus FX are decent and the Pantheon is the best reverb unit Ive found for the comp. I was wondering if anyone could suggest some other plug ins. Also can anyone recommend a good compression plug in? I cant seem to find one that sounds good.

thanks

"WAVES" Any one of the bundles. Native, Renissance Collection, Gold or even the Platinum bundles. Any one of these packages should meet your needs.

Akai quadcomp. Expensive, but very good. Some people can find it for free though
The waves plugins are nice too, and Timeworks compressor X.

There's a free plug-in on http://www.digitalfishphones.com/
Try that first, i liked it a lot.

You tend to pay for quality....
Just my two cents...

I love Waves plugins as well.... They are well worth the price. Your tracks will thank you...

WAVES ultramaximizer is my most used compressor. I also use sonitus ultrafunk r3c's pack, davebrown, canam and a bunch of others. The actual default sound forge 6.0 compressor is pretty good to but WAVES is in the top five for me.
