Whenever i sample there's always some hiss or static that accompanies the sample even with the gain knob turned all the way down. Anyone else have this problem ?

I had that problem with both the S2000 and the S3000xl when I had them. It was sort of a hissy digital static sound that had nothing to do with the source material or gain settings. For some reason I don't get that problem with my MPC.

I don't know if this helps but I heard when wires are touching it could cause
a weird hiss. So try uncrossing your cables if they're all crossed up. That's my 2 cents.

^^^ yea also make sure theyr good cables... i got bad ones and they cause extra sounds

Cheap cables, electromagnetic interference (audio cables close to power cables/outlets or other electric junk) unclean connects.
Just some of the stuff that could cause it.

Yeah, keep them away from magnetic things. And definitely check the cables. Cheap ones will give you that hiss.
I feel like Diamond D, the best producer on the mic...

use alcohol to clean the connectors.....if wires are older...but good
