chopping sample..mpc2kxl vs. recycle

i'm researching to find other methods to chop and rearrange a sample. not a sample of sound but a sample of music (from a album). i've read a few post mentioning recycle. right now the way i currently accomplish that effect is to just play zone of the sample in the areas i want while i record then go back and pick another zone and do the same thing. my main concern is i dont want to wear out that zone button. also filtering options, which would be better to use..the mpc or the recycle program. what other options are out there. being that i got the mpc for it's sampling ability....are there some other means to accomplish, thus me not needing the mpc..just looking for a little more clarity regarding this kind of altering a sample. i would like to read the tutorial on it. didn't locate it. thanks yall. one.

Recycle, cool edit pro, sound forge and other wave editors can be used to chop samples and is easier and faster than doing it on MPC. Look into coppin some sort of wave editor. I use sound forge and it works great for me.

I personally use Recycle2 instead of the Zoning. That along with the MPC Editor's ability to import Recycle AKP files into MPC PGM's makes going from Recycle to MPC a breeze. I know, I wrote it that way.
