I'm Trying to Get the Midi set up in a studio with these devices:
MPC, Triton, Motif , Mo'Phat , Roland XV-5080, Motu Midi Time Peice, Nordlead. I'm Recording with protools (5.1, Mac g4), and all these devices have their audio outs routed to a 24-channel, 8-bus Mackie mixer, which is routed to the 8 inputs of the Digi 001 (Pro tools Hardware).

I would like to control all the sounds out of all devices with the Mpc and the triton (mainly the MPC) . And be able to midi sync or automatically sync up the Metronomes with pro tools. As of now I just have the triton and Mophat hooked up to MPC, which I use as a sequencer, and record the sequences/or parts into protools. This is very time consuming because since the there is no midi sync, I have to edit/trim everything I record into protools then align the tracks to start together. Seems very unnecessary.

I would like to be able to hit play on my MPC with all the different sounds from different modules playing in my sequence, and have pro tools automatically sync up the play time and record whats playing in the MPC.
Any other suggestions for recording methods are more than welcome!
Can anybody help Me?

it seems like it would be easier to have protools controlling everything and not the mpc.
