ive been checkin this out for a minute, thought about messin with it for fun... ive done some shit on the net to find out info. but i was just curious, i know some cats here mess with reels, so i just wanted to know if yall had any certain websites to check out about reels... my man at the record shop has a couple and i been thinking about it...

if you want to get into the tape sound and can't afford a reel2reel a nice hi-fi VHS recorder does the trick. you can record fatband tape and it saturates just like a reel though the frequencies are a bit different. it's an ol school way to mix down and get some analog from your digital source.
