what it do its yall boy, hey i got a question for yall!!!

first i consider myself an minimalist but every now and again come across samples with little or no low end therefore i have came to the conclusion i need a module i been looking at an used ROLAND JV 880 OR 2880 and an PROTUES 2000 now my question which would you choose if you were and how much MAX should i pay for any of them now keep in mind i sample 98% OF THE TIME so i dont need anything to fancy holla back

The bass in my Proteus 2000 really doesn't do it for me. Maybe I should tweak more or something, anyways, I wouldn't go over $300 for a Proteus. I don't know about the JV880 or 2080(if that's what you are talking about)

Here's a trick that I do some times. Try using the same sample, filter out the highend and then put bit grudge effect on it, and there goes your bass note. You don't have to search for the proper note or anything... and yes it only works some times but it does work, especially on samples. I use modukles too and it can be a pain to find the properly tuned note to go with samples, so that is what I do.

If you do go for a module I have themotif (non es) and fantom XR they are both really good. I am sure you can find a motif for cheap now since the ES version is out. good luck and happy hunting
