yea they do, but you can do that with note repeat. i've heard more real sounding ones before, and it sounds like you can use note repeat for that kind of drum roll. he's also using that nice sounding snare. so the roll sounds good with that snare..

but it does sound tight how they have it..

On a making the album with kanye. They showed Kanye doing his faithful drum roll with a conga set to 16 levels velocity, and then he just used the note repeat function on his 2000.
