1 Stereo Loop (which could be your melody)
1 mono loop (which could be your bassline)
A Full Drumkit (kick,snare,hihat,toms,crash)

so thats pretty much a full beat...

this is a full 4-8 BARS before that shit gets repetitive and BORING

this is not to say full beats can't be produced on the mpc60 (dj shadow) but what you have detailed is a ticket onto the monotony train.

mpc1000/2500 = 16 megs upgradeable to 128, i believe. which is more than enough. 21 minutes of sampling time? yeeeeah definitely enough. let's see a fruity looper use more.

hell my songs rarely go aboe 32 megs and they're complicated and multilayered as hell...i just like the extra headroom.
