whats funny is when i

hear kids in this forum and others adding annoying sounds/vocal samples over their beats because they dont want people stealing them. most of the time when i hear that shit i stop listening and dont think twice about closing the window and not leaving feedback. dont get me wrong, its a good idea if the track is stupid ill but i think your all a wee bit paranoid.

I don't think it is always done for that reason...sometimes people do it just for fun.

I don't see anything wrong with adding vocal samples to beats. (only if they're not 'annoying' of course)

im not saying adding vocal samples to beats is annoying... thats fine, im talking about when its shit like just has nothing to do with the beat and repeats itself over and over again over the beat when ur trying to listen to it...like captions shit i used to be able to listen to, now he started putting that shit over it and it anoys me so CAP if u read this, take it off homie

Yes ..... if I'm supposed to be listening to a beat but over it is a voice going "This is an original blahblahblah production. If you want to buy this beat e-mail....... " I switch off. It just sounds so unprofessional.[/i]

Using a really crappy resolution and adding a "digital glitch" should accomplish the same thing but hey, if it's copyrighted and someone swipes it AND they actually promote your beat AND the eventually make some money - you can sue and get paid with a minimum of hassles - I say, let the lawyers do the job...

i'd like to know what percent of people who upload their beats even get any interest...

do you reckon there's A&R people who have to search soundclick to find producers?

if the beats are that good and your scared of having them stolen shouldn't you be sending them to record labels instead of putting them up for public access?

I would encourage this! They probably had better marketing connections than you anyway, Then once they see who you are, and like the rest of your beats, You in Man! Look at William Hung....BLAAAAH ha ha ha...Where you think he would be if he hadn't been seen on American Idol?
