Reason and MPC question

Sup y'all
Ok after watching Sparq's awesome video tutorial on triggering reason sounds with the 1k, I was beginning to have some fun with it. The only problem I got is that when I play a beat/sequence and then try to record with a reason created melody (using NNT inst), the sounds overlap or play too long and when the beat loops, sh%t dont' sound right. I'm pretty sure its not a latency issue...is there any way to mimimize the duration/length when I touch a reason triggered pad on my 1k?
Any help would 'preciate it.

you may want to upgrade to 3.04 because long notes and overlapping after triggering was a problem with reason 3.0
