Mpc + Reason Latency ???

I got a pretty fast running computer ( amd athlon 64 processor 3400+, and 1 gig mem), with just a stock sound card though. so when i midi reason into da mpc and put da outs of the comp into da mixer, theres like .25 second latency from da output.

question: i'll be gettin an mbox 2 in like 3 days. will i be able to monitor da reason sounds wit no latency ( or at least close to none),just by sequencing on da mpc. i knoe dat i could always just sequence reason right on pro tools but i prefer da mpc.

Once you get the audio interface the latency should be gone.

yes latency is more tied into your audio card than how fast your computer is. many people make this mistake. and it isn't even so much the audio card as how well the drivers written for it are
