Hey Guys,
Last night i was listening to some Pete Rock instrumentals. And i really liked the way, on his chill songs he usually has a synth type sound or whatever it is come in with a slight envelope on it. I dont know if thats the right word. But the sound doesnt come in on full volume. You know how usually if you hit the keys to your synth the sound comes out full.. So how do you set it up, so that the sound comes from low to high eventually as apposed to directly to full sound once you strike the keys.
Its really hard to explain, i might have to get the song out and post it but im hoping someone knows what i mean. On chill beats on piano chords its nice to add that little effect. Makes it more relaxed somehow.
So anyone know how to do that. How to instead of having the sound come on voll level, make it so that when you hit the key it gradually rises?
Any help would be appreciated.
