can you mixdown to stereo using just the MPC?

I searched the forums, but none of the threads I found really answered this question in any detail. It seems to be assumed that sounds on the MPC will be bussed to some external device for the final mixdown (i.e. a computer, a mixer, etc.) Is it possible to just mix the sound levels right on the MPC and record to stereo from the main outputs?

For example, it's commonly said that DJ Shadow did the Entroducing album entirely on the MPC 60. I always wondered if that meant he literally did everything on it (including mixdown) or if it just meant that he composed everything on it. Anyone know anything about that?

Shadow made the beats on just the 60. He mixed and added reverb and all that shit somewhere else? I think Automator's place. I could be wrong. Someone correct me.

To answer your first question, you can totally mix your whole beat in your mpc, then run the MPC stereo outs to the ins on a MD/Tape/HD/CD-RW recorder (prolly need a L/R 1/4" to Stereo RCA cable). Try recording it to tape then resampling it back intoo your MPC.
