In time signature which number would be best for a break, when i make a beat.

probably 4/4. Most western music is in 4/4. In jazz & dnb you hear a lot of 3/4 & whatnot....

actually, most contemporary/urban songs you hear on the radio has a time signature of 4/4. but i think you are asking if you should have it set to 1/8, 1/8(3), 1/16, 1/16(3), 1/32 or 1/32(3) then the answer to that would depend on the bpm you have it set to and how fast you want the break to be.

there is no right/wrong way to do this and my suggestion to you would be experiment and try different settings.

4/4 is 1,2,3,4 (4 times) 3/4 is 1,2,3 (4 times)

Another one you might want to experiment with is 6/8 or 12/8.

Some slow RnB tunes use these

example: Boys II Men " I'll Make Love To You"

That Killer Mike track "ACHtion"

might have used it too.

6/8 and 12/8 are called compound time signatures

They have the feel of 4 and 3

experiment homie, pending on what style of music 4/4 hiphop,rnb,rock,etc
mix it up 1/2,3/2, for intro's then have fun. 8) :roll:

there is no best, better, right or wrong.

use your imagination and experiment.
