Break sample

Lets say i loaded a break sample onto one of the MPC pads. How would I get rid of the double click in the loop when i record it into a 4 bar sequence. When i play it back it skips between the last and the first bar. Any suggestions on how i can iron out this skip so that it runs smooth in the sequence?

You usually get this sound when the sample is not trimmed right. to avoid this, the sample must be trimmed to perfection. Try to re trim the sample, and play with the tempo. Take the tempo up or down a few notches till it lines up.

yea a handy thing to remember is that theres 96 "tics" . So lets say you want the loop to be four bars, and at the beginning of the sequence again u want the first bar to start off w/o the clicking. What you would do is this, go into Step Edit to location 01.00.00 (or whereever you start your loop). If you want it to just be 4 bars, under Duration "D" type in 1536.

How did i get 1536, well theres 96 ticks, 4 beats in a bar, and u want the loop to be 4 bars. Therefore 96 * 4 * 4 = 1536. Your sample will play for exactly four bars now. Hope this answers your question, peace
