I need a production technique!

I know its many talanted beat-makers in here.Gear junkies and all.
gather your knowledge and help a newbie out!.So please drop some knowledge..

Here is want im after- effective,practical and fast technique with good kvalite result. I got a mpc,pc,mixer. The mpc havent got eq,compression and all that.So many of my beats comes out lo-fi.Now! theres many alternatives to choose from,a few of them is-get a sampler and eq the sampling before it enters the mpc,buy a mpc 1000 and do it all on the PC throug usb.Use the 8 outs with i have no idee how to do (or if its effective)
maybe theres more alternatives i dont know about,some outbord effects or something.

i got no idee..but right now i been turned down many jobs becouse of the kvalite.i dont wanna go all software cause i love my Mpc,I have to find some effective way to enhace the quality.Practical and fast is the main thing.Right now im moving the zip drive back and forth and i hate it. Coverting snd files,back to the mpc again and if i did something wrong i have to do it all over again.i worried that im gonna blow the fuse someday now.This process takes about 2 hours for me,i takes away all the fun in producing.

Cop a mixer like 12 or 16 channels. You can get a hooptie one to learn on for like 150-200. Get some software. You can get compressor, and resonat filter plug-ins. You can interact your MPC with software. Your best bet is to get a wave editor program, and a recording program. The MPC can filter. Goto program mode, select what program you want, then go into F2. See the filter option? Most sounds bring down the filter us the res. If your beats sound mad lofi, what are samplin from? If your usin vinyl make sure you have a good mixer or phono pre-amp, and a good cartridge.

yea i got a shitty mixer right now.I got hooked to the vinyl to the mixer,and the mixer to the mpc.

how do i interact my mpc to the softwares on the PC?
Line in on the soundcard?and record the whole song?
Or could this be dun throug midi or something?

Line in from mixer.
Save em and transfer or record each track into a multitrack recorder program. Or cop some outboard gear. Other than that ....

here is what i use:

laptop with digital Ins/outs-> Roland VM 3100 Digital Mixer -> MPC 2000XL Digital Ins/Outs

the connection is all digital, you dont lose any sound quality, and you use it the way you would sample of records...
the VM 3100 Pro is quite cheap (around 350 bucks used), has onboard compressors, Roland COSM FX, 12 channels and other goodies...

i can work quite fast that way, no zip switching involved..

How do you have it all connected? Im dont know so much about connections and so.Do you sample all beats to the lap-top? i dont save em on zips?

well, your mpc has S/PDIF (digital ins and outs)...
i use my laptop just the way like i owuld use a turntable..
that means, for example, i make a basssequence with fruity and a softsynth. i let it run...now i can sample that in my mpc without any quality loss (its everything in the digital realm), and i can even apply the effects of the mixer in that process (Parametric EQ, compression, nice reverb, AMP simulation, delay whatever)...ZIP switching disturbs my creative process too much...
if i have a sample on my mpc that i need on my laptop, i simply do it the other way around...i hit the pad on the mpc, play the sound, and sample it in soundforge (or any other editor program), change the sound the way i like it etc and send it back....
you can do the same thing without the digital mixer off course, but normally there is this problem:
the MPC has coaxial digital ports, whereas the normal soundcard uses optical..that means you need some kind of opto-coax converter running inbetween. The VM 3100 Pro does that for me...
