HOW DO I GET THAT LOOP TO MATCH TO MY TEMPO? I SAMPLED A SICK ASS LOOP LASTNIGHT AND IT TOOK ME ALL NIGHT TO GET THE SAMPLE TO LOOP CORRECTLY AND I STILL DID NOT GET IT DONE. IS THEIR SOME KIND OF SCIENCE TO DOING THIS? LET ME KNOW STEP BY STEP.

Dunno if you'd call it a science, but a few tips:

It's easier to get your sequence to match the loop than match the loop to your sequence, build from a loop or two instead of dropping loops into your beat. It's much easier to match loops together if you already DJ or have a nack for knowing tempos and keys.

Make sure your loop doesn't play beyond the length of the sequence. If it does, it will "cut itself off" next time the sequence comes round. Enter step mode and dial the D: (duration) value down and hit play again.

To determine the tempo of the loop, either consult the BPM guess that your 2k[xl] generates on the last page of Trim mode, or tap the tap button in time to the loop playing. It's also easiest to drop loops on the first beat of a bar, so enter step mode and drop the loop in there. Make sure when you sample you sample on the 1 instead of the 2 (kick instead of the snare, etc)

Sorry if that's kinda out of order, but I'm low on energy this time of.... morning, already?

Yeah match the sequence bpm to your loop. I usully set the sample to note off in the program menu because then all I have to do in edit the begining of the sample, and I dont have to worry about cutting it too short. Tap it out and then use the jog wheel to tighten it up.

Also, your loop might not fit if it's a timing issue, you can't make a 5/4 loop fit into a 4/4 sequence no matter how hard you try...
