just my 2 cents:

"breaks and bass" on the tutor sample packs page was created using recycle. Its very cool, because you can take the midi file of the original break and change up the sounds. However, when i chop with the mpc, i feel more satisfied with my work, I think it takes more skill personally, and helps to improve your "mangle skills" (flippin the samples more with your ears)wich will translate from drums to instrument samples.....but its cool because using "breaks" without chopping them is not a good thing, so as long as it works better for you flippin your samples well, youre better off.

recycle has auto chop thing when you move the sens it would divide your samples and more often than not the samples are perfect in zero crossing. You cant do that with the zone function on mpc. chopping breaks in mpc to me takes 2-5 minutes, doing the same shit in recycle takes 1 minute tops!!!!!
