change frequency in a sequence

Ok , I know I can change the frequency of a sampled sound with the slide key /note variation, but how can I record a frequency change into the sequence? I've tried usins the step mode, edit mode.... but I cannot find how to do it

Set the slider for filter and move it to the position you want before you press the pad, each time you press the pad for each change, it will record it in the sequence.

nah I thinik he is refering to pitch or tone. Like an A=440hrtz You can do that with the note variton slider and the after key
