How do you all track your songs??
I got cravy little bits going through my tracks, just noises etc. I always use about 50-60 tracks per seq. but the thought of ripping it all apart to track into pro tools to mix is a bit daunting.
I've done it like this a few times but it's crazy, you loose the feel of the track. I don't have the eight outs either so I mute all the sounds I don't want to track and then load the .APS again and mute some more and keep doing this till the track is in tools.
The problem is where do you stop? Do you all track your drums, kik, snr, hat etc. or do you track the drums as a stereo file.
I'd like to have the control of individually tracked drums but this is crazy!!
I might aswell not have the MPC and just make the track in Logic or something. HELP!! I'm in the middle of mixing my album at the moment and this is mad, there's got to be a better way.
Anyone know how Jim Abbiss tracked 'The Private Press'(no info on the net bout this one, I've searched everywhere)
Peace,
Dos
