Broken signal modifiers for that unique sound. I got an old broke delay pedal that I send sounds through. The delay doesnt work, but it dirties up the signal nice. That there is secret weapon ish.

record a sample pitched up +200 to a tape deck. now record that pitched up sample back into the mpc from the tape deck and pitch it down -200.

I could go on, but the real good tricks I have are unique to my production style and I want to keep them undercover.

ok so can you or can you not resample on an mpc 2000. I love to have the option for some 12 bit drum action

no you cannot. but if you need that 12-bit action, go get the free download of autotune (im sure binger has the link. you can reduce samples to 12 bit (or even 8 bit) and low frequency that way.

You want to REALLY dirty things up try a Sherman Filterbank. I've got the version 2 of it, and it sounds PHAT on some of my loops...
