Best Time Stretch

Hey Bro. I have used it and I have to say that Prosoniq still beats it.

Damn! guitman is sure adamant about Prosoniq!

Waves Transform Bundle sounded so powerful but guitman says its not up to par with Prosoniq.

Now I definitly feel like givin it a try!

Anybody used Prosoniq and didn't prefer it to another brand?
Regardless, I'm going for Prosoniq!

Don't get me wrong, the Waves Bundle is great software. I have just had better results with Prosoniq for the time Stretching. If you are not going to be stretching very far I'm sure you would be happy with Waves also.

The best timestretch hardware box is the Variphrase technology by Roland, featured in the VP9000, VariOS module, and the V-synth (which I personally own. For those on a budget the VP9000 can be had for something like 300$, the VariOS for 600-800$, and the V for 1995$ new, 1500$ used. With the V you can do incredible things to a sample. To sample, encode for timestretching, and lay out a sample across the keyboard takes less then 5 minutes. For those with the cash who want to avoid the cpu, the v-synth is a timestretching beast.

I also use ableton live. while it's timestretching is not anywhere near that of the V, you can do crazy things with effects, and even record the effects as part of the loop.

Yeah balil2, I read about the Roland Variphrase some years ago and I almost completely forgot about it which was one of the reasons I started this thread, to refresh my memory. I'm not into too much equipment but I'll make a note of that hardware just in case.

yeh i use ableton sync'd up to my MPC, so what ever loops i preview or drop is auto sync to the running beat. this is just a quik work around. ill time strech that ish later on in ce_pro or sound forge.
