yeah when you chop your own drums without someone else setting the start and end points and attacks and fades you control the feel and movement of your beat.
& at least on ther MPC3000, you dont got to run through some fancy eq or comprssor to get a nice sound, just straight from vinyl through the vestax eq to the MPC, sounds exactly like some commercial sounds that ive heard from places that rhymes with slangin seats & mpc mounds.
