Need help on downloading vinyl samples

How do I download vinyl samples? Can I go straight from the deck to the MPC, or do I have to buy a program to download the samples to my computer and then download it onto the MPC. Thanks

Man, when I bought my MP I had put at least 20 hours into research on diff. models, how they worked, what other devices I would need etc..... I paid $2000 CAD for my MP in '02 (new)! I wasnt dropping that kind of cake without knowing EXACTLY what I was getting. It might just be me, but ever since the 1000 was released, too many clowns have hopped on the MPC bandwagon. Dont get me wrong, we all gotta start somewhere, but DAMN!! Downloading vinyl??

CO-SIGNED. I spent at least a month prior to the purchase of my 1K doing research. When I decided which machine to go for I also printed the manual and read it twice before it actually arrived.

i gotta say though for me, i did little to no research before buying my mpc. i think half the fun is discovering how it works and everything after you've bought it. although i'd still highly recommend anyone looking into buying an mpc to do their homework like yall have said..

^^I did my homework, but reading a manual and doing it are 2 different things. It still took me about a month to master MOST of the machine (Ive had my MP for 7 years and im still learning.)
