question on Mixer?!

Yo, i wanna get a Mackie mixer soon, but i don't know what to get?

What's the DIFFERENCE between a DFX-12 and a 1202 VLZ Pro??

I think most people use one of those....

Is there a big difference?


What mixer do you suggest????

I dont know about the 1202, but I use the DFX12 and its dope. My only complaint is that it only has a 2 band EQ on each channel. If it had 3 band (preferably w/ sweepable mids) it would be even better. I mix down a 2000xl w/8 out board and a JV-2080 synth with it and record into Adobe Audition, and the only thing I do in Audition is Compress the final mix (if it needs it). The built in effect processor is decent, too, although the delays aren't syncable via midi, so the reverb is really the only useable effect as far as music goes.

Great value at 239.99 new, too.

Forget mackies, theyr overpriced and overated.

1202 VLZ has 3 band EQ four mono and 4 stereo line inputs low cut switchs, aux sends and returns for external effects unit. If your setup ever grows and you would like postfader direct outs go with a 1604 or 1642 VLZ Pro instead.

co-sign....if you are gonna get the dfx-12......you might as well cop the behringer ub-series.....go with the 1202,1642,1604 joints...even the 14 channel is dope
