Chopping Tutorial.

Here's a very basic chopping tutorial I put up on my site. It has samples for you to use, too.

Bear in mind, this is for heads that are new to chopping, you won't get anything out of it if you already can chop pretty well...

Keep checking back though, cause i'm gonna put a video tutorial up sooner or later...

good looking out decepticon,i'm just learning how to chop em up.i just got a mpc1000 about a week ago so i'm trynna learn ya know.anyway does that choppin tutorial go for the 100 as well or just 2kxl's or 4000's?

Yo, Pgm, it's for a 2000xl, but it can be applied to really any sampler. I'm not too familiar with the 1000, but if it's so different to the point tha you can't use the tutorial, PM me and we'll talk...

I'm hella glad you put that up there Decep, I don't normally chop I **** with keyboards but I'm always down to learn something new good lookin out

decepticon, i like the stacks you were holding...how long u been in the army? and i saw that you had cool edit runnin, do you use it to record your songs from the mpc?

the 1000 dont have zoning... computer based an all that.. so i guess ya tutorial works for 1000 but ud have to substitute the zoning bit for recommended software that'd do the same thing

TerroristProphecy - Word, good looks on that information. I'll put a little disclaimer for mpc1000 users on the tutorial...

DJkinetic - LoL, yeah those stacks were pretty wild, huh... 100 G's each stack. I was in the Army 4 years, and yes, CoolEdit is the sh*t. I do my stereo mixdown and "mastering" in it.

How would you slice the sample u into 8 equal parts so that you get the same results as you got in your tutorial with the mpc1000. I have recycle but can't get the parts chopped in 8 equal parts.

Is there a way to do it in mpc by itself. I know that if doesn't have zones but is there a work-around? I don't have my mpc yet. It is with the ups man as I speak. Just waiting for him to get here.
