JUST BLAZE KICKS!!!!! WHAT THE FUK????

Man, everytime i hear a just place track like "Pump It Up" or "Multiply", i can't help but notice his drums are the craziest sounding and most unique; mainly his kicks. They are so deep and they hit hard but clean. Has anybody else noticed this sh*t??? If so, has anybody tried to emulate that kind of kick?

I noticed that too , also if you listen to the track he did on freeway's album"philadelphia freeway" his tracks are real crisp clear and knock hard but not too hard.I wonder if it's all engineering.

First of all you have to look at what he is using for gear...MPC 4000 and lots of roland sound modules(got this info from Just Blaze himself)those pieces have a very clean sound to begin with...After that I would probably say the rest is the way his music is mixed and mastered...Mixing on Protools HD mastering on ?...With todays high sample rates and plug-in technology a clean sound is not that hard.

Yea his kicks and snares do sound clean. Just gotta choose the right sounds for your kits. Some producers spend years finding sounds for their kits. Plus, all those Just Blaze beats are mastered. Mastering can make a song sound 100% better and cleaner sometimes. I try to emulate Dre, Just Blaze and anybody else I can learn something from just to see if I can do it.

"What we do is wrong" on that album is a certified ill beat. Definetly gotta respect Just

i think just blaze has some engineer experience,i read in this one nick fury article when he said he met just blaze as an intern at a ny studio back in the day

Just Blaze is cool. I think he's a bit overrated, but I like alot of his stuff. Some of it blows though. I prefer to keep my kicks a little dirty, my snares too for that matter.

Plus Just Blaze jacks beats... Check Black Moon - "Stay Real"... And then check the "Public Service Announcement" on the Black Album... Evile Dee from Da Beatminerz was on the radio about how he made that beat years ago, but then re-did the beat a little cleaner for the new Black Moon album... Just Blaze's beat for the "PSA" on the Black Album is an exact copy of the original track on Da Beatminerz album...

I heard he jacked other beats, but I can't remember any others off the top of my head...

"One for Peedi Crack". A weak Liquid Swords rip off, but I like the dirty drums on that one...

Yo straight up though... Just gets props from me on some of his beats, but Hip-Hop ain't even where his hearts at? The dude at my local Record shop met him and he was talkin about how he really loves Jungle and Dark House Music... That's his real passion... Hip-Hop juts makes him the big bucks... That's weak... I love hip-hop and I personally don't care whether hip-hop is on top for another 20 years or no one buys the CDs... I'll be doin my thing cause it's my passion... Shouldn't be about the money...

Man, but that's some tight shit though how there are talented people in this world who wanted to be somethin else but they settled for what they're good at. Just like you were sayin about Just Blaze. Some of us strive to become good hip-hop producers and that's what we want. He dosn't even care about hip hop but he's one of the tightest producers. Or how MJ really had a passion for baseball, but he settled for basketball cause he was good at it naturally. I heard Allen Iverson say that he wanted to play football but he settled for B-ball cause that's what he was good at. Like how the f*ck do people get good at something they don't even strive for or have a passion for? That just proves that alot of talent is just natural.

Well I mean... Not like he'd admit to jackin a beat... It's possible that this happened... But I mean I've heard about him jackin other beats... So it's not impossible to believe that he jacked the beat either...

Anyways Evil Dee's got a beat on that Black Moon album that I think Premier used for Jeru the Damaja on The Sun Rises in the East if I'm not mistaken... So shady sh*t happens all the time... You can't get feelings caught up in it cause, let's face it, It's sampling... It doesn't belong to us, the producer's, as it is... It's someone elses music... So if someone else uses it then that's just part of the game... But it still sucks that people re-use the same samples and jack beats...

Regardless of who pulled the sample first...they both flipped it up real nice.

I like the Drums on Just Balzes better, but Evil Dee processed the sample more and got a fatter sound out of it... They both did an incredible job...

I think Da Beatminerz don't get enough props... They always kill it... And Evil Dee is the sickest producer out of all of them...
