SP-1200 Price

This sh*ts gettin out of hand... I've pretty much given up on owning an SP-1200... Might have to settle on the lesser SP-12 and Strictly use it for Drums...

Just look at who the seller is. That ultraman6996 guy is ALWAYS selling vintage machines at inflated prices. You'd have to be out of your mind or rich to buy from him.

I know but still... The fact that it will sell for that price is insane... I mean I'd kill to have an SP-1200, but I'm not payin 2700 dollars for a drum machine that's 20 years old... No matter how classic it is or how incredible it's sound is...

Speaking of which... I'm not too familiar with EMU products and I've tried researching this, but nothing tells you better than hearing it from people who know first hand... I was wondering if there is a rack sampler from EMU that uses the same sampling engine as the SP-12 and SP-1200... The closest that I've seen in my research is the Emax HD... Now I've never really heard this thing mentioned so I'm guessing it's either really rare, really expensive, or really cr@ppy...

Basically I'd wanna trigger the samples from my MPC considering theres almost no hope of me gettin an SP-1200...

Any thoughts people???

The funny thing is that he buys most of his gear on eBay, checks it out and then sells it for what it cost when it first came out...LOL

If you really want an SP-1200 just save up about $1200 and sit on it.Check Ebay every few hours and you will find one that you can afford.The thing is there are good deals on there you have to have the money when you see it cause I've never seen one last on there for more than a couple days.

Yea but Theres other things I'd rather have that cost less than 1200 bucks... You feel me... Like I need a Tube Pre-Amp and a better mic... I could get those for 1200 bucks... I know that on the way to svin 1200 bucks I'd be like well I got 400 and there's this mic... And then it'd be gone... Ya feel me... That's why I was wonderin if there was a cheaper Rack... The Emax sounds as close as I'll get cause the SP-12 is seriously lackin... It's only got 5 seconds of sample time and 8 user slots.... For 400 bucks or so... That's too little to offer, but I may settle on that...

yeah Im down with that mattmatiks....Cash burns a hole in my pocket and I just blow it.... I wanted a PMC-07(which is expensive in aus) and I wanted a mixer so I could cut so bad I just grabbed the PMC-06, now im spuing cos my mate just bought an 07 and it kills my mixer... : (

But yeah I've wanted an sp-1200 for ages and have thought about grabbin an sp-12 a couple of times, but i've never used either and would be going completly on what ive read. Im thinking ill just pick up a s950 with trigger inputs and that will dirty things up.
