Lazer cymbals/hats 1/16-1/32 Araabmuzik

I have ableton 9 and mpc renaissance . I'm looking for that araabmuzik Lazer cymbals/hats sound . I want to make my own sound but i would like to have that specific cymbal/hat and crash sound , then tune it to my likings from there. How do i make that specific sound ? I'm not looking for his samples just looking to know how to create that almost shaker sounding cymbal that very crisp sound not hissing . Any info and how to on designing that sound with what i already have?

Contradiction in terms if ever I saw one.

Sound design can be a lot of fun, or a complete waste of time. But if you can provide an example of the type of sound/effect you are looking for, the massive will point you in the right direction.

its that relly hi crisp cymbal hits/crash that I'm looking for. How to create that sound is it layered with shakers or what ? i read that they are 1/16 1/32 Lazer hats. ?? how can i achieve this sound what kind of audio effect am i looking for to create that sound ? I been all over ableton trying to get is there something I'm missing . i know that i said my own sound, i do, i meant to say i want to create my own sound from that , learn how to make that sound, then put my flavor to it.

That video is filmed on a phone, including the audio. So what you're hearing is the crappy built-in microphone of the phone recording the sound coming out of a tinny sounding speaker.

Get hold of a proper recording and it will be easier to say what's going on. As it is, it just sounds like brittle shards of glass which isn't pleasant to listen to. Definitely DON'T try to replicate the sound you're hearing! :wink:

It just sounds like he uses relatively standard hi hats and crash cymbals (LOTS of crash cymbals), then trims all the bass and mids out them and processes them with the Aphex Aural Exciter, thus resulting in a cold and ear piercing high frequency range that lacks any warmth.
