I use T-Racks as a compressor for my final mix.

Just don't **** with digital.... sample vinyl...drop to reel...master to dat...why use programs (digital)when all you have to do is avoid them (analog)?

Because using a tapemachine is not exactly as easy as recording into a computer.
If you can set up a reel as fast as i can insert a tapesaturation plugin, i'll give you $100.
It's not just a matter of sampling analogue either, i sample almost everything from vinyl and still use plug-ins if it makes it sound better.

I run mono tracks through my mpc 60 to colour. record level to taste.

useing anolog gives you more satisfaction to making your music i think,
i use mostly anolog too, but there are times i need to use the digital processing to clean sounds up a bit,

but this argument will go ontill the end of time, i say us ewhat ever you feel confortable with,

you know?? this topic has come up a million times on forums, and the funny thing is ,is that nobody really knows exactly what "warm" is...i mean can you describe it???

anyhow...warmth as thought by many is really roundness,smoothness...
to get it...you have to know analog....what does anolog do to sound that sounds warm...well for one it smudges everything, no pointy edges....2. it is a reduction in the high-end...3. it is subtle distortion generally addiing second harmonics...so the point??? you can get the warth from any plug-in if you apply these 3 . so happy warming!!!

For me...Compression with a nice bit of gain.
