Timbaland, A Producer On The Top Of His Game???

Maybe a controversial thread but I am really feelin alot of Timbo's latest stuff.

The Game: Put You On The Game
Xzibit: Hey Now (Mean Muggin)
LL Cool J: Headsprung
Jay Z: Dirt Off Ya Shoulder etc etc

I can't help but feel that this cat is really on top of his game in terms of his production style (Club Bangers).

I have always had alot of time for his stuff, but it just seems everything lately really hits home.

Is anybody else feelin this???

i dont know. I love that Game track.........but hes on the new ludacris, and i dont like his production on that beat!

I never realized he did the Jay Z, until recently........and that shit is hot. Definately unique and one of my favorite jayz songs.

There are loads of tracks he has sone in the past that are Hot!!! But some of the techniques he is using on his new stuff is sick!

You gotta listen to that game track all the was through man, its Timbo on top for sure!!! There are just little things he does on his tracks like stopin it like a record, the female vocals in the background that are sped up and then eventually low down to introduce his voice, the mash up at the end, etc etc.

But yeah, there is loads of past stuff that is good, I just think that he is growin as a producer and his latest stuff is sick!!!

He is a genious. I love that track wit game. I think he is one of the best cuz he is just timberland. He's unique. But have you seen fade to black. That cat gained alot of weight. He need to slow down on tha food. Cuz gaining that much weight cant be good for you

Timbo's drum patterns are sick. he is the first to come up with that off beat flammed hi hat sound too. check aaliyah's one and a million album..

Yeah, that cat looked a little large in that video. Changing the subject, hearing Dirt Of Ya Shoulder coming from that keyboard of his must of been a real moment for Jay-Z, that tune was just ******* ill man!!!

I could see a Korg Triton Pro, but what was the black one underneath just outta interest??? Been thinking of getting a keyboard for some time now.

seems like these guys are doing a lot less sampling these days, in the traditional sense. less and less beats are based around a really unique sample and more and more heading into stuff being played on keyboards. it's all good and i like both. after seeing some of these "making of" videos just looks like a lot less vinyl digging and a lot more keyboard riffing.
