Do a YouTube search for David Fingers Haynes,...he has insane skill when it comes to playing a drum machine. He plays jazz but he is buy far the best I've seen when it comes to playing a drum machine live.

Araab is dope. His Milli remake is ill. He reminds me of those technical turntablists out there now. It'd be interesting to see him in a beat battle.
But yeah Divinci, Jel, Jeremy Ellis...and those cats I hadn't heard of till today like Disko Dave, I give anyone props who can flex on drum pads like that.
What I want to see is someone playing live on drum pads and an MC rhyming over it. If there's footage out there like that please put it up!

yeah same here... and I dont mean auto chopping it all equally and pushing the pads in order all the way up at metronome timing. I find the videos boring where you see some kid with his mpc 2500 pushing the pads in order: 1 2 3 4, 1 2 3 4, 1 2 3 4, 5 6 7 8, and repeat. top it off they have the drum sounds programed to the same pads as the samples.

That David "fingers" Haynes video is amazing. I've got an old HR-16 like that and those pads are about the most unplayable, fidgety hard plastic things I've ever seen on a drum machine. Seeing someone doing that on it kind of messes with me.

Agreed, being quick on drum pads isn't incredibly impressive. Dynamically doesn't sound to hot to be honest.
