Do you do this?

I keep my vcr on pause most of the time, love catching that wierd 4am movie with that golden line... got an anwesome one the other night..
They were playing some sht astronaught movie and I thought theres gotta be some cool control room gear going on here to sample... anyway nothing until the very last scene, all the background noise stops dead and this texas dude goes "thats the craziest thing ive ever heard'"

I tried sampling from the tv using my mpc but for some reason I had a lot of feedback.......I was trying to get this sample from off the movie brown sugar. I had some audio/video connectors hooked in back of the tv......I took the other ends and attached some 1/4 inch adapter on them and plugged them in back of the mpc 4000.......Was that right?....

I'd run them through an amplifier of some sort..

I've got a old cheezy dvd player. When you fast foward or reverse the movie while it's playing, it chops the movie in 3 second increments (not very fast). It's like scanning while the movie is paused but faster cuz you still hear whats going on.
I get some wierd *ss samples that way.

get comcast digital cable...On demand is the shyt and the digi box has RCA outs...

got a great sample off the intro to final destination 2...
