It's the layering, pitching and filtering that gives these machines their sound, so these single sample comparisons don't really show anything useful in my opinion.

You forgot the ADSR :) But did you dl my comparison? I used normal pitch and +12 pitch (pitched down in sampler) and I used 3 different values of the filters from the samplers.
Well, I didnt use the ADSR although the envelopes play a big role in sound. Its very important how fast they are and how they form the sound.

actually ive been working 7 days a week, and after doing it once with that monster cable... and it sounds the same... i was like F it.

but whoever said its all about the filters and how you use it... exactly..

but..

they do sound way different too.
