normally I would agree with you, but I would hardly consider nuendo toy shit pound... though I am guessing you weren't thinking of that program at the time... reason is kind of like a toy, but that is my favourite part of it... it's fun, especially wiring the racks in improper ways, however I dont consider reason to be the same style of daw as pro tools and nuendo... oh, cubase (being similar to nuendo) is also quite good and also quite common.

inflict3 wrote:no shit dude?? I think we no the meaning of the term daw.. ive used reason since 1.0, it was a daw back then too. its just alot better now that it records audio. even though reason has no vst support its still a power house. we've got refills instead of vsts..

ah well sorry, there was an entire thread on here where many people said reason is not considered a DAW.... and how is would fall more into the virtual instrument category.... which IMO is not accurate....
I know what refills do, I have several gigs of refills I downloaded over the years for various reason components (some for malstrom only, some for the samplers only etc... some mixed. I forget which ones I all have)

lol.. yea, ive got hella refills too. im just now learning all this vst stuff. i understand what you mean man. cats are always hating on reason. but point is, reason is dope, and it is a daw. reason has been around for a long time now, and it will continue to be. reason and record is the only daw i actually use.lol
