Like bliprock said, I find myself humming when I'm tuning up chops.
But, those dudes had loops in tune and on time. Crazy.

How did you guys train yourself? Any programs or exercises you found useful?

Your are born with perfect pitch. Perfect pitch is the ability to pick out notes in a chord and then be able to sing each individually. Relative pitch can be taught with training and practice, this is the ability to pitch match a single note and then name that note in which you hear. I mean, I suppose you could work hard enough to gain somewhat of a "perfect pitch" ability, but why? By the time you got decent at it, it would be time to die, and you would have accomplished nothing musically. Work with what you were given, and build upon your strengths. Good luck!
