Yeah, once you get used to it and start seeing your waveforms come together you tend to get make them more and more complex, in time you'll have homemade synth waveforms that just blow shit away. So you got a good lock on it now or what?
I've been starting in sound forge a lot and then taking the sample over to my 4k and/or triton extreme and use tools inside my machines to twist and turn as well. I usually keep the wave inside one or the other and keep going in there. I tend to do that because I continuously want to make better and better waves inside the box. I don't like software so much but I do understand the need for software, I'm not a software hater, I can do both, but I prefer hardware.
You manipulate wave with a lot of q-links via freqs, lfo, osc's too huh? I love real-time tweaking via q-links. It's great aint it? Yeah, no one really needs to spend money on it, it's fun to do.
