Bit Reducer?

Just picked up one of those for my aux send on my mixer. If I put in some work this weekend I'll try to use it on the next forum beat battle.

I love the mpc + biscuit combination.

the guy at Oto used to offer a mod that allowed the filter to bypass the bit crusher so you an use that really nice analogue filter on the clean signal - but hes stopped doing that, id love to find some instructions on how to do it myself tho.

with the biscuit - i have a tough time trying to get a subtle bit reduction out of it. it is possible tho cos u can mix wet and dry - but its almost too easy to get heavy bit crushing effects..and very easy to go into "too far" territory where its basically a useless sound unless your into industrial hardcore!

definitely its own sound vs simulation of older lower bit sampler sounds..i def like it a lot more than the stock ableton bit reduction fx i'd been using previously.

and the fact that its a pretty awesome little 8 bit synth as well is the best and most unexpected bonus ever to come out of an fx unit i think.
