So, I finally got these sounds into the MPC...tbh, I wasn't expecting much. Ive always felt that most kits could be easily compiled by heavily processing a drum recording or break and chopping accurately. I've never had problems finding a sound that was "close enough" and tweaking away; however the sale price and the opportunity to support the forums/tutor got me interested.

On that note: I'm really blown away by this kit. The recording is excellent and the sounds are SERIOUS. Would definitely recommend. Found these drums nice for layering too....check em out.

And thanks again for the deal Tutor!

wanna add a lil 2 cents on this pack was going thru it at the weekend and to my knowledge the best pack tutor has done to date.

not that i have bought everything but i have listened to most of the demos from each pack and this crushes all of them by far.

the good thing about this is u got the live kit sound and some funky loose drum playing that is in the pocket at tempos from 80 to 120 bpm. Having the tonal variations of a drum sound played at a faster pace is dope cos the timbre is mad different at different speeds.

All the sounds are upfront and close mic'ed recordings as opposed to many of the other break libraries sometimes the drums are mixed low or with alot of room reverb/ambiance which is understandable as the drums are mixed in the context of a song and the creative vision of the engineer. (or to simulate the sound of a break as it would sound on a record)

For those who want the tone the live energetic sounds and also have a requirement for a cleaner sound so u can mix and add the fx ourselves to create the sonic effect required for the track and these drums allow u to do that.

loads of good cops and layers here and the raw loops is dope enuff to rock open by themselves.

so all in all great value hats off to tutor

Tutor... easily some of your best work here buddy. so warm like really not just a buzz word. these drums are warm and crisp. and perfectly looped and tempo synched. chopped a few and couldnt stop playing patterns.

of course I had to review them on you know where...

I plan to steal some time to make a few beats with these soon. I will add to the review when i do.

here's the first sketch ive done

episode 9 is gonna be all collaborations with cold busted artists - im just doing sketches with no one shots or synths.. im gonna dig up a sample, flip it and layer it, then use some of these drum breaks..

then when i got the sketch done i send the stems to the artist and let them freak it!
