Just uploaded this song from 2010/2011 it made me think of this thread as i really pitched down the sample but used 'real time' drum hits...one of my mates is MC'in over the top but you can hear how slow the sample is pitched in the intro and outro

just thought it might give an idea of how you can use the technique in a more original way
