Glitch drums

You could sample old analog things.

But I believe that glitch music is purposely named after circuit bending vintage cheapies for a reason.

(And PLEASE for gods sakes, vintage CHEAPIES for a REASON!)

You can get a really nice bent 707/727 in the neighborhood of 5-6 hundred on ebay.


I reckon that it doesn't matter a hell of a lot what machine it is besides the interface after its glitched.

Classic 80's rolands have the best interface IMO.

(Which ironically became one of the most useless interfaces on the earth somewhere in the 90's.)

That would be 600$ wasted in this situation, not how your gonna achieve the quantized glitchy drums.... Cool for other effects though definitely, I would probably go the cheap Casio sk1 bent whatever though instead of blowing money on Roland. Infact even the cheap Roland machines like the 505 sound to fantastic for me to ever **** one of those up.

I thought glitch was the same as circuit bending.

I'm also a fan of the sound,
but there are busted up ones or ones that have already been modded.

I agree its kind of like hot rodding a classic car.
(Or god forbid, pimping my riding it!)

But things like 707's or 727's are not really classic's for a reason.

Thats only pimping a 72 Nova.

And although there are no-goodnicks out there,
but I'd assume that most people smart enough to build a circuit bent machine are smart enough not to mangle a clean one.

If you're talking about creating analog sounds,
you need to get a analog sound generator.

MPC's dont generate sounds,
they sequence and filter them.

And if you're just looking for sequencing, there must be something more dedicated.

I'm not really talking about the sounds themselves. I'm talking more about the placement of these sounds, and how they're quantized.
