the 1/16 timing would not change the length of a quarter note, but just where it will be put on the timeline if it was not played with perfect timing.
that is strange why would logic calculate a quarter note different from a calculator?

Your beat is a quarter note. So you don't divide by 4.
If you're doing other note values, or other meters (like 3/2 or something that has something other than a quarter note as its primary beat), you'd divide as needed. But here, you don't need to.
