Recording VST as Audio

Running vst's through a mixer and recording it as audio?
I've been using Cubase for years, and it's never been easier than in the recent version. You press ONE button, and you have the track recorded in audio within seconds. Including automation, effects and all.

Try running a CPU hog like Pro-Tools+plugins and then try and run any combination of several VSTi synths/intruments that are on the market on the same computer at the same time.I don't care if you got the new mac G6 with triple 5ghz processors you're computer will crawl.Now if your doing on program and one multi at a time then yeah Rewire wil work just fine.

I know export, I thought there was a single button refferenced in a post.

In cubase sx, it's called the freeze button. it's a little button that looks like a snowcrystal.
It's not the same as exporting, you can simply undo the freeze by clicking the button again.

Hm, you talking about SX 2 or 3?

I'm trying to see if Nuendo might have it too.

Both 2 and 3 have it. I've used 2.2 and 3 myself. Nuendo must have it too.

I haven't seen freeze on Nuendo 2, I gotta have a look for it later on.
