how would that b , i got some tips from a friend and i still cant get it .
how would you use a pcr 50 keybaod midi controller.
i turnt on the preference audio for my sound card and in the the midi i turnt on the pcr, but theres a pcr 1 and pcr2 then theres only for midi in on the other settins how whould it b.
will the keyboard b master or will the pc b master,
and where do i get sounds to be able to use the key board as an instrument.?
thanks
do you know how to get the program making some type of sound, any sound?
if so, the audio is fine for now...
if not lemme know.
next the midi, that sounds right, in the preferences just turn everything on that you can (green square should be on)
make sure yer in session view
now in live find or insert a "midi track"
from the left sidebar open ableton plugins and drag "impulse" into the midi track
see the impulse settings box appear, in upper right corner click the down-arrow and load a builtin kit for now, load 'studio montreal' or something
in the same midi track see the speaker/S/circle buttons stacked vertically? hit the circle one to make it turn red
now at this point just type some keys on your computer keyboard (the typing keyboard) and hopefully u hear drum beats
now play from your pcr keyboard, but important:: only one particular octave will trigger the drums so you have to find which octave of keys to play (a middle octave).
any luck?
later you can adjust where it says 'all ins' and 'all channels' to only use the specific ones u want.
ps. these instructions are for ableton v4.0.1 might be different for version5.
