Getting a Guitar Strumming sound out of a Synth?

You can design a arpegiator to do this.

Maybe search for midi patterns you could use. On the motif you also have rps, where you could assign a strumming midi pattern to. kind of like an arp on one key.

OK...I looked at the arpegiators in both the Motif and the Karma. The Karma did a better job by far than the Motif but neither really did a great job of emulating a guitar. The Karma came pretty close but still sounded "canned". An hour with a sampler and a good guitarist would probably allow you to get the job done in major and minor keys in a variety of different tempos....

Thanx for the info. Personally I play some guitar, but that could be helpful for some people... and I keep meaning to experiment with that Karma software.
