yeah check rahzel "all iknow" for a fat montavani loop. montavani can always be had a the thrift stores for pennies! too cheap not to pick it up. guaranteed you could use something off of any of his albums. i think he is even featured on one of the dusty fingers volumes.
my local record store just changed owners. i hooked up with some ill wax yesterday. the symphony w/ craig g, kool g rap, masta ace, big addy kane and marley marl on production on cold chillin' label. computer love part one and two. pus four or five other roger troutman 45s. bob james, ojays, isley bros. crusaders, and other old school ('85 and older) hip hop on 45. a one day haul like that doesn't come to often around my way. plus i left another stack of 50 or so plates behind on hold for another day. my 45 collection just got a little more respectable. the jewel of this particular score is jungle fever by neil larsen on horizon music. any body out there heard this one?
peace.
ohyeah i want to hear some of those sade sampled beats. can you post em?

Sandy Nelson records are really good. Nelson was a drummer who put out records in the fifties and sixties, the songs are mostly covers, but they're all really drum heavy--my favorite records for drums. Only problem is, they're usually kinda pricey.
