it's very good for drums, but i use it for all.
it's perfect with it's 8 inputs for the mpc and summing in two xlr outputs to tracking.
you can insert a compressor or what you want in all channels! great too :D

I 2nd this... I notice after running everything thru a preamp and slight, peak leveling compression (around 2:1, maybe 3:1), things are SO much easier to mix. Without the slight compression, the peaks and dynamics are ALL over the place.. This where good mixing skills comes into play.. My preamp (1073) gives me a bigger, fuller and sweet sound and the compression together both definitely allow me to mix easier.
